“It has come to the attention of the Health Center that one of our students is extremely ill. Our student has been receiving blood transfusions at a rate of 1-2 pints per week and the family has reached out to the Stevens’ community (Hoboken, NJ) for voluntary assistance. If you would like to donate blood that will be given directly to our student, please call the Blood Bank for Directed Donations to set up an appointment at: 800-439-6876.

The closest “directed donation” site with the most flexible hours is located in Manhattan; however there are locations other than NYC available.

Our student’s blood type is B+ (which means that he can receive all “B” and “O” positive and negative blood). If you are not sure if your blood type will be compatible, you can still donate and if it is a different type than is required, it will be released to the general public where there is always a need.

When you call to make an appointment, please mention the following:
You want to directly donate to: Patient #238541 File #82195

If you have any other questions about donating directly to our Stevens family member please contact the Student Health Center at 201.216.5678.
