Distorted LullabiesMany years ago I wrote a record called Distorted Lullabies. It took years to write and finish. In May of 2001, I released it to the world. Tomorrow, December 14, 2014, we will revisit these songs for a one time live internet performance that we will broadcast to the entire world. We invite you to join us.

If you have any questions about tomorrow’s internet performance, please click “FAQ” on OURS ticket page HERE.

This is the original painting from which all artwork from OURS third record ‘Mercy’ originated from. We are putting this one of a kind piece up for auction. Starting bid for this silent auction is $3000 with a portion of the proceeds going to charity.  Click HERE for more info.

Please email us your silent auction bid to This auction will be open until February 1st, 2015 unless shit happens.

After a lot of thinking, I have changed my mind and I’ve decided to get back to work on the next Ours record/s. I wasn’t sure if I was ready to take on what it is that I’ve been hearing in my head, but I believe that I am ready to make what will be the most ambitious Ours record/s to date.  I don’t know how long it will take, but I am excited to begin the process.
Stay tuned for more details.

OURSOURS will be performing a short set on May 28th at Mexicali Live after Saddle Brook School of Rock to help raise money for Operation Smile (an organization that provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe.)

After their set, OURS will have special guests, including Steve Brown from the band Trixter, jam late into the evening. Tickets are only $10 so please come out and help us give these children better lives.  Click HERE to buy tickets.

Jimmy Gnecco

8:00 p.m. January 23 @ The Viper Room

If there’s ever a Jimmy Gnecco biopic — and his 40 years to date would already make for compelling viewing — he’ll surely be portrayed on the streets of his native New Jersey as “Jimmy the Voice,” so remarkable is the emotionally elastic sound emanating from his incongruously slight frame. Having fronted perennial big-name opening act Ours for 20 years, Gnecco released his stripped-down solo debut, The Heart, in 2010. That album was followed a year later by a full-band version of the similarly titled The Heart: X Edition. Whatever the instrumental accompaniment, delicately acoustic or bombastically electric, it’s the man’s Jeff Buckley–esque, compellingly textured murmurs and falsetto-flecked, visceral howl that lend even the most ambiguous of lyrics a lived-in sense of import, which continues to command cult-level reverence.
